Dear all,
I am working for Wikimedia Germany together with Nicole and am currently
helping out with the Wiki Loves Monuments project.
Right now I am trying to find the cheapest way to order all of the T-Shirts
in one place and have them send to the participating countries by the shirt
printing company.
Hopefully the negotiations will be done within the next couple days and the
T-Shirt printer can start doing his job.
In order to send them to you, we will need adresses.
My request: Please send me a delivery adress containing:
- Name
- Street & house number
- Postal Code
- Town
- Country
so we can start sending out the shirts as soon as possible.
We are planning on sending about 20 shirts to each country. If you think
that is not enough / too much for you, please also contact me.
Thanks for your cooperation in advance!
Simon

Hello all,
As Benoît already told on this list some time ago (if I remember well),
people from Wikimédia France went to the European Parliament in Brussels by
the end of June. There, we discussed a certain number of things, including
the possibility of hosting a European WLM Awards Ceremony in the Espace
Léopold/Leopoldruimte(1) (in December according to the timeline (2))
We are now in late August, so the parliamentary vacations will end soon and
it's time to contact them again... But before doing that, I need to know if
people from the other European countries are as excited as we are at
Wikimédia France by this opportunity.
What do you think about it ?
Regards,

Hi all!
Wiki Loves Monuments is going like a charm, and we think it would be great
to nominate this wonderful project for the European Heritage
Awards<http://www.europanostra.org/apply-for-an-award-2012/>.
It would be great if we could get some extra exposure from that!
The deadline is already on October 1, so we need all help we can get to
finalize the application. The application form is quite extensive, so I
tried to make a nice etherpad out of it so you all can help. You can find it
on http://etherpad.wikimedia.org/WLM-EHA-submission. Please be careful with
editing! The history button is not as solid as on a wiki, but it does help
avoid edit conflicts.
We will need some solid info from you all too in the coming days, but I'll
put those questions in seperate threads - but at least you know where those
questions are coming from.
Best regards,
Lodewijk
Hi,
As october 1 is approaching, we need to thing of the technical actions to
close it. I can think of:
- Keep the campaigns open (can just be handy to upload monument pictures),
but remove the wikilovesmonuments category.
- Putting the flickr groups back to no posting allowed
Anything more that will be needed early october 1?
Regards,
Andre
Hi everyone,
This is the first time I mail here and hope this ends up in the right subject thread. If not then perhaps some admin can correct it.
I work for Europeana and we're the one awarding a special prize for the best phot of an Art Nouveau motif. We're really happy and impressed with the results of WLM! However, it leaves us with the daunting tasks of having to go through a lot more images than we thought and so we asked Maarten to create a category for us so we can ask the community to help in categorizing. We would be grateful for any help you can give us to get that message out to participants and organisers.
In terms of selection of what to categorize please include rather than exclude when in doubt! In Art Nouveau we certainly include Jugendstil, Stile Liberty, Secession, and Catalan modernisme. We would also happy to include the Scandinavian National Romantic style.
Cheers,

Hiya all,
Wiki Loves Monuments is about to end and we just hit 150.000 images. The
current Guinness World Record for Largest Photography Competition[1] is set
on 126,521 entries from 40,784 participants from 1 October 2008 to 31
January 2009. Wiki Loves Monuments beats this with hopefully 160.000 images,
from (most likely) more than 5,000 participants from 18 countries.
Does anyone have the time to figure out the exact details on whether we
could apply with Wiki Loves Monuments for a Guinness recognized World
Record? It would be great if someone could give them a call and ask about
the procedures - so that we can answer press that we are working on getting
it recognized.
Thanks,
Lodewijk

Hi everyone,
With a little over 24 hours left we currently have 141.000 uploaded
files. That's a tremendous number of files. Would be great if we could
reach the 150k. So empty out your camera's/Flickr/Panoramio/Shoe
boxes/etc.... and help raise the number of files :-)

I think this needs to be discussed further. I cannot make any
guarantees that Flick uploads will be finished by Oct 1st.
Also, we have some 30 files added to our group but already uploaded to
commons (in September or earlier) that need to be added to the contest
manually.
Are we the only ones in this situation?

Would be good if some french speaker can tell us what is there (my fr-0,5
don't help me that much) ;)

across the attached article about WLM! I couldn't find the same article on
a web version though..so --Enjoy! and thanks to Adrienne.
