Dear all,
a doubt:
is Instagram compatible with Creative Commons?
Can I upload *my* Instagram pics on Commons (so could it be used for WLM)?
Please consider that I'm not suggesting Instagram pics are good for WLM
(they are filtered and all, probably not very suitable for illustrating
monuments on Wikipedia)
but is a legal matter.
Aubrey
Hi all,
As some of you may have noticed, Wikimedia is now supporting the upload of
3D models of objects. See this WMF blog post
<https://blog.wikimedia.org/2018/02/20/three-dimensional-models/>.
I'm just curious: are there any national competitions planning to focus
even slightly on 3D submissions in the coming year(s)? Do we know if it's
even feasible for such large buildings?
Best,
Lodewijk
Hi all,
A little while ago, I shared a draft of our grant request with you. The
final version is now available and submitted:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Project/Wiki_Loves_Monuments_interna…
As you can see, we plan to shift our focus this year to some long term
goals, and I hope for your participation in that path. For now, please
consider endorsing this grant request - it is one of the measures that the
grants team uses to indicate community support for projects like this.
I hope to be working with many of you again in the coming months and years!
Warmly,
Lodewijk
(member of the international team)
