Telcel offers prepaid plans of 1 GB for around 160 Pesos (~10 €) for 30
days and you don't even need to show an ID. Is something wrong with that?
European providers charge fortunes for mobile internet in countries outside
of Europe.

We can give you a list of offices where you can go and buy with a cost of
3 USD. Or will be better have activated previously a traveller plan from
