Hi all,
I'm pleased to share Wikipedia Connection's annual report for the 2016-2017
school year.

>
Wikipedia Connection (<
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Connection>) is a student
organization at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, USA. The
group, run entirely by students with faculty support, hosts edit-a-thons,
workshops, presentations, photo hunts, and more on campus. The 2016-2017
report summarizes all the year's events, which brought in > 130 campus
participants through the year.
In addition to Wikipedia Connection, there have been Wikipedia student
organizations at Michigan University, Cambridge, National Taiwan
University, Pune, and a few more places. Wikipedia student organizations
are relatively lowkey on the global scale. Hopefully this report showcases
some of the things that can be done with universities - I think there's a
lot of potential for Wikipedia student groups around the world, and
documenting the process of setting up and running Wikipedia student
organizations is a project I'm planning for the near future.
Thanks,

Does anyone have the name or other details of the woman who performed
a native American dance at the welcome reception last Thursday,
please?

hey
if any of those people who are going to leave Canada today or tomorrow and
they would not need their Canadian SIM card, it would be great if you could
leave for us.

Hello, all Wikimania attendees!
I hope you're enjoying your first day of conference :)
Tonight and tomorrow, among the other social events, I'm running a folk
dances workshop.
Don't be scared, it's open to everyone, very funny and a good way to relax
after a long day sitting on a chair!
You will hear a short performance of folk songs from *Bretagne*
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brittany>, learn some simple dances
involving moving your small fingers and jumping on your feet, and make new
friends around.
If you want to try the dances or just listen to the music, join us at one
of the two sessions:
* Friday 11.08 and Saturday 12.08
* *from 9pm to 10pm*
* in the room *Drummond West* (*3rd floor*, at the end of the corridor
after the posters)
Can't wait to meet you there *\o/*

I don't see any information on how to get to the airport from the
hotel/dorms on the wiki, only the other way round. Can somenoe point out
where it is, or give some info on how/where to get tickets, what payment
methods are accepted, where the stop is etc.?
Thanks,
Katie
