Trying to wget some stuff from Wikipedia. It has been working for many years
- cron was doing it 4 times a day. Now it no longer works either if ran from
nightshade or from willow, either by cron or from commandline.
When running wget with defaults, it requests IPv6, the result is ERROR 504:
Gateway Time-out.
When running wget with -4 switch, it requests IPv4, the result is ERROR 503:
Service Unavailable.
Problem occurs since November 11th. I just realized it today... :-/
I thought it might be wget issue, so I tried "links" and "curl". No luck as
well.
Anybody knows, what's going on?
Thanks.

Hi!
The toolserver will run until June 30th 2014. Nothing changed about this
date.
As announced to all toolserver user accounts today, all accounts will
expire in January 2014. They can be renewed as usual. The two
toolserver admins Marlen Caemmerer and Alexander Mette provided two
scripts which will help you to pack and download your data and delete
them afterwards.
The reasons for my decision to have the accounts expire: First of all,
I would like to remind everyone to think about their tools' migration
early and get help if needed. Second, we are dealing the data of a few
hundred expired accounts already. The owners shall have the chance to
re-login and collect their data. They have been reactivated and will
expire in January, too. Third, I would like to encourage all those who
already moved over to Tool Labs to download and then their stuff
themselves.
Best, Silke

Hello all,
as I announced before I will retire in a few weeks. To give you all a
exact date and so some dependability in planing, I hereby announce to
retire as root at
FRIDAY, 3. January 2014 24:00 MEZ.
I will use most of this day for clean-up, so if you want something you
should contact me the day before. After the date I will not be able to
re-new accounts, add ssh-keys or clean-up /tmp-partitions (so Wolfsbane
will become unavailable more often). If you need something after the
date, please try to reach Nosy or Amette during their work-hours.
Two days later my normal account will expire, which will end my work for
the Toolserver. I will send a last mail to you all than.
Sincerely,
DaB.
Thanks for the great work and the many hours you contributed!
All the best!
Michael

Hi,
I have a small request. I've lost the public key used for making ssh
connection. Hence, I'm attaching a new public key to connect with.
Please put it in my account.

Hello,
several copies of commons broke in Toolserver.
I'll pull a dump of it off s4-user starting
tomorrow, Tuesday, 8pm UTC
This means replication will be stopped during dump, the rest should work as usual.
Cheers

Hi!
1. The simple script [1] leads to a Crypt-SSLeay error (exact error is
mentioned below the code) at the toolserver. But at my home computer the
script works fine. What could be the reason?
2. If I add the commented line in [1] then the script works at the
toolserver in a bash. But using qcronsub there comes a ne error message:
Error code 2: 500 Can't locate object method "new" via package
"LWP::Protocol::https::Socket"
Can anybody help me?
[1] <http://scsys.co.uk:8002/274067> is a minimal case of the actual bot
Cheers

My cron stuff on nightshade ran on Nov 2nd at 6:05 UTC and since that
nothing, although I have daily period set.
Is that only issue on my account or global?
Could somebody please check? Thank you.
Kind regards
Danny B.
