Hi,
at ~21:00 UTC apache on hemlock has died. I have no idea why, the machine
works fine, just apache's down. Have fun with fixing it :-P

Hi,
you tried importing the enwiki dump three times now; and the mysql server
broke all three times. Couldn't you just try to copy the innoddb files from
one of the production dbs to zedler? Sure there's still a chance that it
doesn't work then, and sure that makes some circumstances, but the result
could be that it actually works.

Hello all,
mysql at zedler is crashed during the enwiki-import and I'm not able to
restart it, because a table seems hardly crashed. So I guess mysql will
be offline until river (or another root with more mysql-experience then
me) is going to fix it.
Just for information.
Sincerly,
DaB.

in one hour the login-services zone will be shut down and deinstalled.
i will take a last dump of /home after that in case people still need
files from it (please contact zedler-admins@ if so).
- river.
Hello all,
I plan to let switch the address tools.wikimedia.de from zedler to
hemlock on sunday 12:00 (UTC). So please test your tools on hemlock, if
not allready done, and report errors to the bugzilla on hemlock (please
do not use the mediawiki-one ;)).
If there are big problems, the data can certainly moved.
Sincerly,
DaB.

I've never seen a system ignoring the TTL. TTL below 20 minutes is not
uncommon, e.g. all dyndns-services use very short TTLs, e.g. 60 seconds.
This is not a problem at all.
Regards
Michael
