I'll support Kenya if they really go for it.
I am subscribed to the WMKE mailinglist but didn't notice a mention of
any Wikimania plannings. Also I am unsure, given the amount of
ressources needed that Wikimedia Kenya could make a bit so soon. Anyhow,
as stated above, they have my support if they go for it.

Hey Guys,
I delivered the training for the above in Botswana and it went really
well much against my initial fears :-).
I would have loved to give you guys all the neaty-gritty details and
juice of my trip but am sorry am really caught up with my academic
work and I will have to postpone that...my apologies.
Generally there was lots of enthusiasm from the students and lecturers
as well about Wikipedia., and I hope this will seed a Wikipedia
Community in Botswana.
I will be happy to respond to any questions from members but will make
the detailed report at a later date...
Best

Limoke Oscar,
Hi guys,
Sorry to be so silent I have been busy with my new Job and getting to fix
one or two things around.
So My take on Wikipedia Takes Nairobi is that we should not postpone it
again, lets do it this November.
Today I had a lengthy discussion with Eric Latiff and he suggests that we
have a one week Hype/ promotion before we launch it. he is also Ok with the
prizes and the venue and he suggests that we promote it via Social media. I
had a meeting with another Journalist friend of mine from Us working for the
Huffington post yesterday and they will be glad to write an article and post
the results of the competition.
Over the last week I have been discussing with Iolanda Pensa from Italy and
she also says that Domus magazine would be really interested in publishing
the results of Wikipedia takes Nairobi. Domus is a quite well-know magazine
specialized in architecture and design in Italy.
Regarding the sponsorship of the competition I had a discussion with Alex
about it today and we are awaiting the reply from Wikimedia France. WMUK are
also willing to sponsor I had a discussion with their chair today.
Wishing you all a nice evening and lets all work to make this a reality.

Hi nice people,
I hope this finds you well.
I would suggest that we have our Wikisaturday during the last Saturday of
this month, that is, 29th October 2011.
For those who are new to this mailing list, the Wikisaturday is all about
editting the largest online encyclopedia, Wikipedia in either of the 280
languages.
It shall also present an opportunity for Oscar to show us what he learnt as
he set-up the Setswana Wikipedia challenge.
I would like we suggest the venue and set targets for our edits.
* To start us off I would suggest we start by finishing up on the
translation of the fundraising FAQs, the Brandon letter and the Alan letter
into Swahili.
Mark you, the fundraiser is slated for November.

I was going through Wikiquote today and noticed that there are no tongue twisters in Swahili [http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Category:Tongue_twisters]. Maybe someone can start the section for 'Swahili' and the rest can contribute with the few they might have. I would have created the section but i don't know how to.
