I am so moved that her mother and sister are going to scatter her
ashes at Winedale. I wish I could be there

Subject: [Weeklong-l] plans in memory of Lizz
Dear Friends,
I wanted to share with you that there are some plans in the works for
something this weekend in the Austin area to honor and celebrate
Lizz. My partner Kathryn, who was quite close to Lizz (we have Lizz
to thank for introducing us to each other), should know more soon.
Winedale was mentioned to us as a possible spot, but it's not clear
whether such a visit could be arranged for on short notice. As we get
details, we will pass them along, in hopes that we can reach as many
friends as possible.
Whatever happens, it is unlikely that Lizz's family--her mother and
sister; I believe her father passed away a couple of years ago--will
be involved; they are, as far as we know, only returning to Texas late
this week and have no set plans for anything as of now. I'm sure
they'd appreciate condolences once they're settled in (early next
week?). Again, if we hear anything, we'll share it here.
Love to you all,
Matt

Dear Doc, Clayton and Winedale Family,
I am thinking about Lizz and can feel her quiet strength and that
glow, and see her sweet smile. I am so, so sorry that she is,
unbelievably, gone from us.
Perhaps you will plant something especially for her?
And, if anyone has her parents' address, will you please let us
know?
Love,
Mary

Thanks, Clayton. Yes, it would be good to gather some photos for a
memorial board and perhaps some lines and a poem or two. The
memorial
should be placed in the Parlin first floor
hallway for a month,
seems
to me.
