વિકિસ્રોત પર હાલમાં જ કવિ દયારામની કૃતિ "રસિકવલ્લભ" નું અક્ષરાંકન પૂર્ણ થયું છે, અન્ય પરિયોજના " અકબર બીરબલ નિમિત્તે હિંદી કાવ્યતરંગ" નું અક્ષરાંકન ૭૭% જેટલું પૂર્ણ થયું છે અને તેના પ્રકરણો સહભાગી સભ્યોને વહેંચાઈ ગયા છે. આ સાથે પરિયોજના ક્રમાંક ૩૪ હેઠળ ઝવેરચંદ મેઘાણી રચિત નવલકથા "વસુંધરાનાં વહાલાં દવલાં"ને સ્રોત પર ચડાવવાનું કાર્ય હાથમાં લઈએ છીએ. આ નવલકથા ૧૯મી સદીના ઉત્તરાર્ધના સોરઠી સમાજના પીડિત વર્ગના જીવનનો ચિતાર આપે છે. ગુજરાતી ભાષાની આ કૃતિને વિકિસ્રોત પર ચડાવવાના આ સહકાર્યમાં આપ નીચે આપેલી કડી (લિંક) પર જઈ જોડાઈ શકો છો.

i hope you are fine. First download operamini browser in your mobile.
STEPS:
1. Download Opera Minifrom m.opera.com. It's a Java Application for
browsing internet on mobile phones. If you have already downloaded &
installed Opera Mini, start it & follow Step-3
2.Install Opera Mini. After downloading you may find it 'Games' or
'Application' folder on your phone. Open/Start Opera Mini then it will
require 'network access'. Grant access & it will be installed
automatically after a few seconds. After a 'Getting Started' page
loading press 'Accept' to start Opera Mini.

Now press '#' buttonand then '1' to activate the adresse bar. Type
about:configor
config:on 'Adress Bar'.Press 'OK' (middle soft key' to go to this address.
4.A page will be loaded named 'Power-User settings'. Go to bottom of
the page by pressing & holding the button '8'.
5.You will find an option named 'Use bitmap fonts for complex
scripts'. Change the parametre to 'Yes' from 'No' & click on 'Save'
button.
6.Go to a Bangla site as http://www.google.com /m?hl=bnto check.
NOTE:
*.If you have Opera Mini 4.2 , you need to set 'font size' to 'large'
to view bitmap Bangla fonts.Press '#' and '8' to go to settings,select
'large' beside 'Font size' settings and press the 'Save' button.
*.You should Exit properly from Opera Mini to save this settings.
Select Menu>Exit to exit. If you exit with the end key of your phone,
you may need to follow the steps again.
*.Sometimes while browsing some gujarati blog site you may find that
Opera Mini is not rendering gujarati fonts. Set 'Font size' to 'Large'
or 'Extra Large' as directed avobe.

સહભાગી મિત્રોના સહકાર્યને કારણે વિકિસ્રોત પર ભક્ત કવિ દયારામ રચિત "રસિકવલ્લભ" ચઢાવાનું કાર્ય પૂર્ણ થયું છે. આ કૃતિ શ્રીકૃષ્ણની ભક્તિ અને આધ્યાત્મિક પદોનો સંગ્રહ છે આ પરિયોજના ૨-૧૦-૨૦૧૩ ના દિવસે ચાલુ થઈ અને ૨૧-૧૧-૨૦૧૩ ના દિવસે તે પૂર્ણ થઈ છે.
આ પરિયોજનામાં અશોકભાઈ વૈષ્ણવ (અમદાવાદ), સતિષચંદ્રભાઈ પટેલ અને જયમ પટેલ(ભરૂચ), ધર્મેશભાઈ (હૈદરાબાદ), ધવલભાઈ ભાવસાર (બારડોલી), કોકિલાબેન મિસ્ત્રી, કાર્તિકભાઈ મિસ્ત્રી અને સુશાંત (મુંબઈ)એ ભાગ લીધો હતો. સૌ મિત્રોનો ખૂબ ખૂબ આભાર.

There is some problem with Gujarati Wikipedia's mobile website. Try the
computer or normal website. I had the similar problem but I can see
everything normally on main website but still can't see properly on mobile
website.

વિકિપીડિયામાં પરિણામો શોધવા (Search) માટેની સુવિધામાં એક નવો ઉમેરો થયો છે,
જેને સિરસ સર્ચ (Cirrus Search) એવું નામ તેના ડેવલપર્સે આપ્યું છે. આ સુવિધા
પ્રાયોગિક ધોરણે આપણાં ગુજરાતી વિકિપીડિયામાં પણ મેં શરૂ કરાવી છે. મને એના
દ્વારા મળતા પરીણામો વધુ સચોટ લાગે છે, આપ સહુને પણ વિનંતિ કે થોડો અખતરો કરી
જુઓ અને પરિણામો મને જણાવશો. આનો મોટામાં મોટો ફાયદો એ છે કે પાનામાં વપરાયેલા
ઢાંચાઓમાં પણ જો શબ્દ વાપર્યો (transcluded template) હોય તો શોધ પરિણામોમાં એ
પાનું જોવા મળે છે.
મેં કારતક શબ્દ શોધવા માટે આ પ્રયોગ કર્યો, તો વગર cirrus searchએ મને ૯૪
પરિણામો આપ્યા જ્યારે cirrus searchએ ૪૧૪ પરિણામો મારી સામે ધર્યા.

બીજી મહત્વની વાત એ છે કે જો તમે પરિણામો પર એક નજર નાખશો તો જણાશે કે સામાન્ય
શોધમાં છેવટના ૧૮ પરિણામો એવા છે જેમાં ખરેખર શબ્દ "કારતક" વપરાયો નથી, બલ્કે
કૃતિકા, કાર્તિક, વગેરે જેવા રૂપો વપરાયા છે જે આપણે શોધ્યા નહોતા. જ્યારે
સિરસ સર્ચ ફક્ત અને ફક્ત કારતક શબ્દ ધરાવતા પરિણામો જ બતાવે છે.
અને હવે વાત તમારે આ પ્રયોગ કેવી રીતે કરવો તેની. તમે ઉપર આપેલી બંને કડીઓ
વચ્ચેનો તફાવત નોંધ્યો જ હશે, જે મુજબ સિરસ સર્ચ કરવા માટે તમને સામાન્ય
સર્ચને અંતે મળતા પરિણામોમાં ઉપરના URLમાં અંતે &srbackend=CirrusSearch એટલું
ઉમેરીને એન્ટર મારવાનું છે. કરી જુઓ અને જો આ સુવિધા ઉપયોગી ન લાગે તો જણાવશો.
જો ઉપયોગી જણાય અને કોઈ મોટો વિરોધ ન હોય તો આવતા સપ્તાહના અંત સુધીમાં મુખ્ય
શોધની પદ્ધતિ તરીકે આને સક્રિય કરી દેવામાં આવશે.

Train the Trainer Program
Wikipedians, about 20 of them, from 10 different cities, speaking 8 different languages, joined together for the first ever four days "Train the Trainer Program" organised by the Centre for Internet and Society's Access to Knowledge (CIS-A2K) team in Bangalore from October 3 to 6, 2013. CIS-A2K organised the residency training program to build capacities amongst different language Wikimedia communities. A good diversity of Wikipedians from various language communities such as Bengali, Gujarati, Sanskrit, Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Odia, came over for the event. Two prominent reasons identified for organizing the event were the limitations of a virtual sphere and the limited number of Wikipedians leading outreach activities. Dear All,
I am delighted to inform you that CIS-A2K has signed an MoU with the Christ
University, Bangalore. As part of this MoU Christ University and CIS-A2K will
work together to introduce “Wikipedia in the Indian Under Graduate Language
Classroom” at Christ University, Bangalore.
The broad objective of this program is to instil the following skills in
the Under Graduate student using Indian language Wikipedias as part of the
Christ University pedagogy:
a) Writing Skills (ability to write in an objective fashion/NPOV);
b) digital information literacy skills;
c) ability to critically engage with a concept/theme; and
d) language proficiency skills
CIS-A2K will be doing a one hour orientation on Wikipedia and the program
to almost 1,600 students. As part of the orientation we will reach out to
about 800 students who have Hindi as a second language, 600 students who
have chosen Kannada as a second language, 150 Sanskrit students and about
40 Tamil students and 10 Urdu students. Post the orientation the students
will be given an option to do one out of the three continuous internal
assignments (CIA), as a group assignment, on an Indian language Wikipedia.
We are currently working on the design of this program and will soon share
a detailed FAQ for your feedback and inputs.
Christ University and CIS-A2K have also agreed to license all material
developed and produced under this partnership under CC-BY-SA 3.0.
