From my perspective, I would like to hear and preserve candid conversation and personal connection, not merely the "performance". Doc, Just to throw this out there, if it does not work out and you need a backup. My filmmaker daughter Kate who is in graduate school at Columbia currently, is an old hand at shooting footage like this, lots of interviews and filming an ongoing film production (which is not very different from this). She shot an impressive "making of" for us when we made White Countess where she interviewed Ralph Fiennes, Natasha Richardson, Vanessa and Lynn R, and Ishiguro, as well as some of the shooting days (when james ivory allowed it). I'm sure she would do this gratis. Just let me know if you want to consider this possibility. Doc, Just to throw this out there, if it does not work out and you need a backup. My filmmaker daughter Kate who is in graduate school at Columbia currently, is an old hand at shooting footage like this, lots of interviews and filming an ongoing film production (which is not very different from this). She shot an impressive "making of" for us when we made White Countess where she interviewed Ralph Fiennes, Natasha Richardson, Vanessa and Lynn R, and Ishiguro, as well as some of the shooting days (when james ivory allowed it). I'm sure she would do this gratis. Just let me know if you want to consider this possibility.
