Dear Doc and All,
The Texas fires are just heartbreaking/devastating, and I see online that there is one in Ruttersville, about 10 miles from Round Top. I hope all of you in Texas--and all your family and friends and homes--are safe and the weather conditions turn for the better soon. You are on my mind and in my heart. Please send word when you have the chance to let us know how you are.
With much love to you all,
Maggie

My wife spotted this today. Doc, I think they could also use a piece with some of your recollections for their site.

Dear Doc, Dear Mary,
As flattered as I am to be thought of as connected, a better bet is
surely Michael B, who is likelier to have favors in the favor bank, or
just know who to call. We will of course give it a try from our side,
but that's not the side of the business we're on. We're on the Dark
Side of the movie biz...
How I miss you all, especially as early August approaches. What a time
that was.
Love and devotion, always,
Maggie

Hi, Doc,
Maggie and Steve may be able to get in touch with her representatives,
and I will ask a few people in the business I still know for help.
Also, is she an Austin presence at all?
Love,
Mary

OK. So how would I get in touch with Sissy Spacek (or her agent)? We
have having a Gala here on Nov 12 and I thought it would be neat if
Sissy showed up. Thoughts?
Doc
Once more, Winter's Tale saddened and dazzled, saddened because mortals are such fools and dazzled because there is much music, excellent voice.
The cast was awesome. It was wonderful to have seen so many "chips off the old genes who were themselves 'chips.' It was wonderful to see Miss Pees and Paxton, and so great talent in this new show. Also wonderful to see my Ancianos. Sorry, Bruce, to have missed you both times.
Bekah and Kindle: big hugs of great delight, big bows of great respect.
The children seemed to be having the time of their lives playing. Congratulations to you all. What's next, Doc?
Thomas & I were delighted last night at the amphitheater. It was really quite comfortable with the breeze.
What can I say that would surprise you? The kids get better and better. Now the program has become so popular, there is talk of adding a third session! It was so imaginative and creative, yet another new Induction scene. Just watching those kids jumping around makes me wonder if I was ever that agile. They seemed to lift off and fly at times.
I was excited to see Kindle and Bekah - I don't think they can fully appreciate the impact they are making. The future starts to look great when you see it though the eyes of such a world.
One of the special treats was watching the ancianos...and seeing how much they have passed on. So may always go forever. It has truly been an amazing ride! God bless you Doc!

The Rude Mechs began their run of The Method Gun at the Kirk Douglas
Theater here in LA (actually Culver City) last night, and we Left
Coasters are now catching up to you East and Third Coasters. What a
great show--so funny and so smart, no surprise considering, but still.
Instantaneous standing ovation. And I got to see Madge-I am the lucky
one-who was positively glowing. What a wonderful evening. Made me
miss you all. Isn't it time for another reunion?

For those of you who live in or may be visiting New York City this summer, I can share two hearty recommendations with you: (1) Sleep No More (Punchdrunk Theatre Company), an extraordinary production inspired by, among other things, Macbeth, and (2) Jerusalem, in which Mark Rylance portrays a character almost as Falstaffian as Falstaff.
Best,
Bob
