I think that there's something missing from "Alternative 1", since there's this phrase: Amnesty International reports that our fellow Wikipedian [[:en:Bassel Khartabil|Bassel Khartabil]] [$amnestylinknl] by the Syrian government. I think that after " [$amnestylinknl " should be written something to explain the link
