Hey Guys,
I was thinking about the following, and let me know if you guys a) would
be interested in assisting, as well as b) if you think is a good idea.
Would it be appropriate to maybe design some time of Volunteer PR
Campaign, where we can maybe contact famous writers and intellectuals -
and ask them to contribute to one of the projects that does that receive
as much PR traffic as Wikipedia. And maybe, use the "angle" of
volunteer, famous person X did. Also, it might drive people to the site,
to read what person X wrote.
To do this we would have to:
A) Identify appropriate people for each project
b) Find contact information, and formulate a letter of invitation
c) Design a small PR plan. IE, when are we going to send out press releases
d) Create a small explanation of how and what is the appropriate way to
contribute to each project.
Maybe we can first try this on English sites....and then proceed to
other languages. For Portuguese/Spanish, for example, we could have
media popular people like Pablo Coelho, etc.
Let me know what you guys think.....I was thinking in Fall this would be
a good thing to carry out..but this would require a handful of available
and dedicated people.
Sandy
(BTW: Very cool to reconnect with everyone)
