Hi all,
I just thought of a project that might have some value (or might actually have
been undertaken already quite a bit).
I wonder how challenging it would be to scan meta, WP, and other sites for all
pre-existing print/pdf materials that people have produced - in all languages.
It would be great to have everything listed on the PR area of Meta perhaps?
Any otther thoughts? Been there done that?

Just to see who is active out there, let's have a little roll-call.
Just sign your name if you are still out there.

us figure out where we stand.)

Good afternoon,
Unfortunately my exams are now fast approaching and I can't keep up my
duties as ComProj chair any longer. Thus I am asking if anyone has the
time to replace me in this role. It is very simple - all you need to
do is try and do the organising that Jay doesn't have time for, and
also try and hold the group together when Jay dissapears to press
crises and the like. Any volunteers? Please reply here if interested
(hopefully we won't need any sort of election; this job is hardly
exciting!).
I hope to get back involved in communications over the summer holiday.
Thank you all for letting me work with such a brilliant and effective
group of people in a positive way of getting more volunteers involved
in communications :)

Hey all,
I feel bad for not including you on this distribution! We went live yesterday with the
Wikimedia Foundation blog - and this is good news.
From your ranks we picked two moderators and there will be more work to do. I have a
feeling that rallying around this blog is one good, solid first step for comproj. We will
be pushing a lot of information, and you're all welcome to help us spread the word by
linking on your own blogs or suggesting topics for posts.
I think we're almost ready to announce where on Meta that 'suggestion' page will live.
More to say soon.
For now though, check it out and please do offer your ideas and views!
Thanks,
jay

Hi all,
We are pleased to notify you that today we flipped the switch on the Wikimedia
Foundation's official blog! Wikimedia Blog can be found at
http://blog.wikimedia.org
Some background info: this will be a space for WMF staff to post news and
information about the work we're engaged in. We'll also bring in guest
contributors, board members etc to post. Comments are pre-moderated for the time
being, and we're hoping for lots of civility. Comments will be moderated by
several volunteer moderators and staff as necessary.
We have some basic posting guidelines (generally short, fairly simple english,
conversational etc) so we can keep it reader friendly and useful. We expect a
wide audience - media, public, users, you name it! And we'll work hard to keep it
interesting - and regular (hopefully posts every other business day).
Always welcome your views, and your understanding about our work-in-progress :)
Hope you enjoy! Looking forward to hearing your views.
Thanks,

Hi!
I haven't been able to make it to the past few Wednesday meetings. I just
wanted to know what's the status of the projects, if there is anything new,
etc.
I was just wondering, because it seems a little quiet around here...but then
again, it is nearing the end of the semester and a lot of us are students,
so perhaps that explains things?
Anyway, hope everyone is doing well.

Hi folks,
I have joined the Communication Project Group. I am new to the group.
I have seen only one project listed there. Do we need to list the
projects?
Thanks,
Shyam
