This is great. I'm sure it can help the Japanese community to understand WMF
more. Maybe it would help them to form a local chapter in Japan, too.

Subject: Re: [ComProj] Wikimedia Conference Japan 2009
By the way folks (and I recognize this post is a few weeks old), I've
also been invited by the conference organizers in japan to speak on
behalf of the Foundation and our work. I'll be attending in part by
invite of an affiliated organization, and speaking at two events about
the Foundation, our work, our challenges, direction etc.
Thanks!

Eugene, Philippe, any plan to have something out
there in Japan during the
conference I forwarded to you?
We've asked Naoko Komura, who will be attending, if she'll facilitate
something on strategy there. Doesn't have to be one person, though; if
you can think of others who are attending and who can help, we'd like
to know about them.
