Hello everyone.
I've decided that it's probably best for me to go ahead and propose an
IRC meeting time/day, and see if anyone shows up! We can then tweak it
in the future to fit everyone. I thought we could start off with
weekly meetings, at least while we get going, in order that plenty of
ideas can be thrown around.
So, how does a Wednesday evening, 8:30pm GMT sound? That'd be
reasonable for Europeans, and okay-ish for everyone else (I hope). My
idea would be that we meet in #wikimedia-cpg around that time and then
report on what we've been up to (at this stage it'd be more general
chatter about the group).
If this is an absolute no-go for you, please let me know.
Thanks,

Hello everyone. I would like to start organising some meetings for our
new group. I'll be working with Sandy to co-ordinate us all and try
and make sure people know what they're doing, in order that we make
some progress. Sandy has requested that this list be not used for a
great deal of discussion (aside from communication that we all need to
hear, such as this) and so I'd be grateful if you'd respond privately.
I'd like to build up an idea of when people are available for
meetings. I will then try to arrange a weekly time that fits the most
people possible; I believe this is the most sensible way to go. So,
please provide me with your timezone, and perhaps your times and days
(preferably in UTC/GMT) that you are able to meet on IRC for a maximum
of about an hour to discuss what we're doing.
We do have an open IRC channel at #wikimedia-cpg if you are interested
in chatting generally.
Thanks :-)
