Hi, Has anyone tried running RSS feeds within MediaWiki 1.6.7? I would
like to run our blog OR feeds from a few news sources along the right side
of all the pages. Not sure which files I need to update to do this OR how
to use the \included\Feed.php file. Any pointers to
configuring/customizing MediaWiki to run feeds would be greatly
appreciated! Thank you, Karen

Don't put line breaks in lists!
If you want the appearance of a line break, put "<br>" after a line.

For me, this produces:
1. First
1. First
2. Second
First continued
2. Second
3. Third
Which is not really correct, because "First continued" does not line up
correctly under the "F" in "1. First". Though the numbering continues
properly, which is nice.

Yes, if there is no space between "#" and ":". Thank you!
I want to create a nested list that looks like
1. First item
1. first item
2. second item
Sublist ended but the First item continues
2. Second item
3. Third item
The trouble is with "First item continues". As long as there is a line
break after
# First item
## first item
## second item
a new list is started instead of continuing with the old one. What is
the solution? Is there an example somewhere?
I am new to MediaWiki. Thank you for the wonderful product!

Is there an extension (or a simple process) that would allow me to
create a growth graph?
Like the one showing Wikipedia's growth:

Yellowikis is to Yellow Pages, as Wikipedia is to The Encyclopedia Britannica
Hello,
I install MediaWiki (Version 1.6.7, Hebrew interface), Apache 2.0.58, PHP 5.1.4
on Windows XP (Hebrew). After a lot of problems, I can run the MediaWiki, and
edit pages as anonymous. But if I log in and then try to use the system, I got
problems. Unless I am checked the Remember me check box, the identity lose
immediately. If I check this option, then MediaWiki:session_fail_preview
message is displayed when I try to save any page.
Thanks, Assaf

I am trying to understand the language related coding for Chinese: I
have find that
the StripForSearch defined in utf8 and zh* were like this:
$out = preg_replace(
"/([\\xc0-\\xff][\\x80-\\xbf]*)/e",
"'U8' . bin2hex( strtr( \"\$1\", \$wikiSearchChars ) )",
$string );
My question is :
Why the strtr is place in here but not
$out = preg_replace(
"/([\\xc0-\\xff][\\x80-\\xbf]*)/e",
"'U8' . bin2hex( \"\$1\" )",
strtr( $string, $wikiSearchChars ) );
