Who is going to do the physical scanning?
Some dedicated fools, I expect.
Another issues is OS maps over 50 years old. All
public domain but a
pain to scan. It would be nice if the UK branch of wikimedia could do
something but I doubt we could get hold of the equipment.
There *must* be efforts to this end. If not, it'd be an ideal project
for Wikimedia UK to look at when it's operational.
How can one get hold of these maps?
All my OS maps are much more recent.
