Including enough options that everyone will fall into one of the boxes
(or at least "Other") is a good idea, but torturing the English

Yep, I've been reading ONS reports (aren't my Friday evenings fun?). Good survey
questions can be written that are understandable and aren't "politically
correct". All we have to do is steal what is already being done by people who have
thought about it properly.
