Fae didn't put himself forward, he was nominated by Ziko. I doubt the
Chief Executive and Trustees of WMUK even knew Ziko was planning to
nominate him (I'm not sure Fae knew until just before it happened).
I don't think WMUK can be held in any way responsible for the WCA's
decision to appoint Fae chair. You can argue that Fae should have
disclosed the ongoing ArbCom case (and, in hindsight, it would have
been a good idea but I was in the meeting (as an observer) and knew
about the case and it didn't occur to me at the time to say anything,
it being a fairly minor case dealing with some technical
irregularities regarding cleanstarts and RFAs as far I was aware - I
don't think Fae can be blamed for not realising it would be such a
significant piece of information).
