Hello,
Today the Wikimedia Foundation would like to introduce a new community
blog. It's called "Diff" (diff.wikimedia.org) and is a blog by – and
for – the Wikimedia volunteer community to connect and share
learnings, stories, and ideas from across our movement. We'd like to
encourage you to learn more about Diff and how it can help you in
sharing and learning from your fellow Wikimedians.
Everyone is invited to contribute!
https://diff.wikimedia.org/2020/07/14/welcome-to-diff-a-community-blog-for-…
The name “Diff” is in reference to the wiki interface that displays
the difference between one version and another of a Wikipedia page. It
also reflects the “difference” our communities and movement make in
the world every day.
For some background, Diff builds on lessons and experiences from the
Wikimedia Blog, the Wikimedia Foundation News, and Wikimedia Space;
previous posts from these channels are archived on Diff. The channel
is primarily intended for community-authored posts, in which
volunteers can share their stories, learnings, and ideas with each
other.
Diff offers a simple and accessible editorial process, moderated by
Foundation communications staff and open to volunteers, to encourage
participation from all — especially emerging and under-represented
communities. Additionally, content on Diff can be written and
translated into languages to reach a wide audience. Diff also has a
code of conduct and comments can be flagged and moderated.
Still curious to learn more?

Hi Kannada Wikisource Community,
As COVID-19 has forced the Wikimedia communities to stay at home and like
many other affiliates, CIS-A2K has decided to suspend all offline
activities till 15th September 2020 (or till further notice).I present to
you for an online training session for future coming months.
1. Wikisource Skill Share,[1] a capacity-building initiative, where Indic
Wikisource contributors, both newcomers and experienced, can share
knowledge and skills with each other and clear confusions. Most of the
time, it will be done online on 1:1 basis, so it is just the right time to
participate there if you have not planned to do it or done it already.
Let's learn Wikisource together! I would like to invite experienced Indic
Wikisource contributors and sign your name at Willing to respond section
[2]. Newcomer or any Indic Wikisource contributors are welcome to join the
session with your queries and doubts.
2. Intensive Personalized Training (or IPT),[3] this also a
capacity-building initiative, where Indic Wikisource contributors,
especially newcomers could come with his/her queries and doubts. I, myself
will share my knowledge and skills with each contributor and clear
confusions. It will be done online on a 1:1 basis, so it is just the right
time to participate there if you have not planned to do so.
3. Online Proofread-edithon for all 12 Indic Wikisource language projects.
We are planning for an indic level online proofreadthon from 1 May 2020 to
10 May 2020. The book of the subject will be the classical literature of
your languages. We’ll share details about this in a separate email in a
couple of days.

Hello,
We are glad to inform you that Project Tiger 2.0/GLOW is going to start
very soon. You know about Project Tiger first iteration where we saw
exciting and encouraging participation from different Indian Wikimedia
communities. To Know about Project Tiger 1.0 please see this page -
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Supporting_Indian_Language_Wikipedias_Progr…
Like project Tiger 1.0, This iteration will have 2 components
1. Infrastructure support - Supporting Wikimedians from India with
internet support for 6 months and providing Chrome books.
2. Article writing contest - A 3-month article writing contest will be
conducted for Indian Wikimedians communities. Following community feedback,
we noted some community members wanted the process of article list
generation to be improved. In this iteration there will be at least two
lists of articles a) Google-generated list, b) community suggested a list.
Google generated list will be given to the community members before
finalising the final list. On the other hand, the community may create a
list by discussing among the community over Village pump, Mailing list and
similar discussion channels.
We request you to go through these pages to know more about Project Tiger
2.0/GLOW
