May be worth following up? Author wants an option to
easily be able to
donate his books to Wikibooks after a certain date (when the copyright
reverts to being his).

Thanks for the heads-up brianna. I left a comment on the blog explaining
that we dont have an escrow option, but that there are other things that we
could do besides. However, since the book in question has not yet been
released, It will be a very long time before copyright reverts to the
authors and it is possible to make this book free. Wishful thinking.
One thing that we definitely need is a more explicit and helpful page
describing how to donate a book to Wikibooks, because it's a subject that
comes up rather frequently. Maybe I'll put my money where my mouth is and
start authoring such a page today.
