Hi Herulee, The original file is stored as-is, but MediaWiki will scale images when displayed in various contexts. For example, if you're looking at the File:XYZ.jpg article, the image there will be scaled down to web dimensions. The actual image is still as it was when uploaded. Try putting [[File:your-file-name]] in a page and do a Show Preview - does it look as it should? Hope this helps, -- Jim R.
