Funny you shoudl mention a calendar.. I have just put
up an exmaple of how to display a calendar of the
current month using Winter script.

Nice! I wish I had that extension when I was
hardcore into doing my
wacky templating stuff. Using basic IFs I could cut
down the number
of templates I use in my calendaring monstrosity:

I'll make a note to check out your extension.. it's
not exactly ruby
scripting, but it could prove very useful.
