One of my users cannot edit a page. He is being automatically
blocked. How do I remove this auto-block? Un-blocking him won't
work.. he is still re-blocked at every edit attempt.
He is using a shared IP with some other users, none of which have been
editing pages.
I don't see a whitelist feature in 1.6.5's Special pages. I'd rather
just kill this feature since the site is private anyways.
It's odd, since the user is being blocked because that same user has
used the same IP before.
Some items have been removed for privacy:

I noticed that things don't get listed in Special:Lonelypages if they
have an image on them.
I realize this is a link to [[Image:SomePicture.jpg]] but shouldn't that
really qualify as an orphaned page?
Is this configurable at all?
Thanks,
~Eric
All of the sudden the Recent Changes pages for the Wiki we use looks
different on Firefox than it does on IE. Any clues?

Hi *,
I have MW 1.7.1 server http://panwiki.panska.cz. Now I have got a better box
for it and I want to move my wiki and upgrade to 1.8.x version. Which
solution would you prefare?
1) Completely move 1.7.1 to the new server and than upgrade MW to 1.8.x
or
2) Install clean MW 1.8.x on a new server and than move just contents
Both servers are running Debian Sarge 3.1, PHP5.x and MySQL 5.x
Thanks
Jakub
Someone on here was talking about how to run multiple wikis using the
same wiki directory, I have a vague idea of how this could be done
(using a index.php file with exactly the same contents but with a
different name). But I don't know how I could set up the local
settings file. When the person said about it I think he used an if
statement but I don't know how to form one of those which has more
than two possibilities.
Thanks,

Hello,
I notice that for a lot of images don't have any entry in the imagelinks
table.
For example
use cur;
select * from imagelinks where il_to LIKE '%Figueres%';
returns me two records but not 150px-Mus%C3%A9e_Salvador_Dali_Figueres.JPG
which is present in the Dali_Theatre_and_Museum article.
How to know the names of ALL pages contained in an article?
Ok, we can use the content in wiki syntax but i guess there is a more DB
oriented way to do it.
Thanks!

Hello,
is there any way to make the mediawiki understand the tags <tbody>
<tfoot> <thead>. This is the table i created with Dreamweaver:
http://www.24-inside.de/Test.html
Now i am trying to find a way to get this thing into a MediaWiki Page.
Can anyone help me?
Greets
I'm running two instances of mediawiki on the same machine (RHEL3x86).
They're in separate directories in the server, and use different
databases on the local mysql server (4.1.18). Both instances work
fine.
I'm trying to use the dumpBackup.php script (just calling
dumpBackup.php --full):
On the older instance (which uses the default database info, and which
runs an old mediawiki.1.5.6) the dump works fine.
On the newer instance (which uses mediawiki 1.8.2, and different (from
the install default) wgDBname and wgDBuser) the call to dumpBackup.php
fails with
DB connection error: Unknown error
Other maintenance scripts (e.g. dumpHTML) work fine too.
Perhaps some piece of info is being assumed to be default in
dumpBackup (rather than being picked up from LocalSettings)?
I'm using php 5.1.2, btw.
Any pointers would be appreciated,
Corrin
