Hoi,
A previous iteration of Special:MediaSearch provided results in my
language. The results were based on the media that had a depict statement
on the subject that I was looking for. When I look for bever, I expect to
find beavers. I don't.
Is it possible to have a version of Special:MediaSearch that actually works
for other languages but English? The previous iteration worked for me.
Thanks,
GerardM

Greetings,
After a year of design and development, Special:MediaSearch [1] will be
released to logged-in users on Wednesday, 12 May 2021. Media Search [2] is
a new content-focused way to search Commons and find freely-licensed media
for use and re-use.
Special:MediaSearch has been default for all anonymous/logged-out users
since 1 April 2021, and once it is default for everyone logged-in users
will have the option to restore Special:Search as their default experience
with a change to a preference.
Feedback is always welcome on the talk page [3], thank you for your time.
