Few of us are perfect. Getting corrected and accepting a correction is a good sign, not a bad one.

Do you think that Mars is experiencing global warming? If so, why?

One of the most newsworthy reports so far has been  a statement from the head of the Russian Academy of Science that the only people who would be affected by the abandonment of Kyoto "would be several thousand people who make a living attending conferences on global warming".

Addressing consensus, http://www.sepp.org/glwarm/noscicons.html suggests that it wasn't there in 1991. http://www.geocities.com/abcolombo/sep00/092200f.htm looks interesting. 

It appears reasonable to suggest that there is not a consensus among scientists that global warming is caused by carbon dioxide emissions.

Personally, I believe that there is global warming. Knowing why is a much harder problem.
