Sorry for being sarcastic, but do you think an 'award' won in this
manner has any merit? I mean, it just reduces to a most-visited-site
contest. Google is one of the nominees under 'best practices', and do
you think they could win less than 95% of the votes if they put a
similar link on their main page?
I've visited several other candidate sites, and many of them have
already created such links. That means they are all trying to get out
their core support. Our competion for this award is BBC, Google, Lego
and Ted Turner. If Google put something like this up on its page we
could even pick up anti-Google votes. That's politics!
