At the bottom, there is a link to a jpeg low resolution image of an ad
which will be run in a linux journal.
The picture mentions that the logo is copyrighted, is that correct ?
Do we need Nohat permission for this ?
Since I uploaded the logo to the meta Wiki, it is released under GFDL.
The major questions that have arisen are if I wish to additionally give
up rights retained by the GFDL to facilitate use of the logo in
particular ways that don't require derived works of the logo to be
released under GFDL (such as putting the logo into a larger image or
changing the colors or whatever).
http://meta.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logo explains what the current state of
the permissions are. I haven't yet agreed with what is written there,
but you can use the logo for the time being under the terms described there.

Okay. Thanks Nohat.
I suppose that one day, what is written there and the reality of the
logo use will come to a common ground :-)
Meanwhile, off we go with the ad :-)
