I can't imagine any reason for rebooting, unless you're also planning
to upgrade the kernel.
Mainly to get the canonical machine name "pliny.wikipedia.org" from
/etc/sysconfig/network to take effect--makes ssh happy. Also, I'm just
a bit over-paranoid about things like old version of shared libs being
in the cache and such (though I know MySQL is built statically).
At any rate, a reboot isn't a major thing--takes about two minutes.
