Hi Brion,
of course, all you say is kind of true, and I understand you found the
initial message a little vague. But at the same time, I must frankly say
that I find your handling of this case rather cold and inconsiderate.
You dismiss it as "not a problem" simply because there is not enough
information *to you* to conclude that there is a problem.
You don't seem to have any idea what it is like to be completely at the
mercy of someone who is in a position of greater power, who abuses that
power and is unwillig to grant it to others, who is extremely difficult
to convince of anything other than what is already their opinion, etc.
It feels like an insurmountable wall, and every time you slightly kick
it, a brick hits you on the head. I have been to several volunteer
projects across the Internet where a situation similar to this was at
work, and it's extremely disappointing and frustrating when there are
higher-ups who just don't care, much less act.
