Geni seems to be using this thread as a vehicle to snipe at someone he
doesn't like, and whom he blames for the recent high profile
announcement (since retracted) by another editor that he intended to
leave the wiki. This thread isn't the place.
To be fair, geni isn't the only one to have used a Wikimedia mailing
list for soapboxing. Just about everyone who has been distressed at
something has done likewise, myself included.
