Quoting Nancy McGough, from the post of Sun, 16 Jan:
writing was one of the important factors in my
decision. But I am
open to changing my mind if someone convinces me that MediaWiki
is not the best solution for Infinite Ink. Please tells us *why*
you think MediaWiki is not a good wiki platform.
that's the point. it's hard to design a wiki for everyone. if you need
math, MW is great, but for another, having an ACL on each page is more
important and MW doesn't have that. saying a certain product is simply
not good at its category is subjective. if "Wiki" for you means Access
lists, layers of rights and information segragation then MW is indeed a
very bad wiki. OTOH if Wiki means "Let your readers quickly create pages
with useful readable outline and inter-link them" then MW is one of the
best wikis around.
