I have set up a test server and yesterday installed 1.15.0 and got it up
and running, no problem there.
However I have added a logo $wgLogo = "images/courgette.png" the logo is
the right size, again no problem but on entering the site at the main
page no logo is visible, however when I click on log in and go to the
log in page the logo suddenly appears, after logging in it vanishes
again. If I create a new page, the logo is visible when I edit the page,
but vanishes after saving.
I have tried this from a couple of different machines with a couple of
different browsers and there is no change in the behaviour.
If I comment out the logo statement the default change this logo appears
on every page, I have also tried moving the statement to different
places in LocalSettings.php but that (obviously) does not help.
Any useful comment would be appreciated, thanks

On Appropedia.org, we're thinking about using the API to better link with
other sites. Those partner sites sometimes have a concern about login,
though.
It would be best if a logged-in user from the other site could be recognized
by the wiki in some way. E.g. someone logged into the Drupal site of Engineers
Without Borders UK <http://www.ewb-uk.org/> as jane.smith who then edited a
page via the API would be shown as something like "jane.smith (ewb-uk)" in
the Appropedia page's history.
Even better would be if the user could optionally connect their account on
another site with an existing Appropedia account, so they don't end up with
two or more accounts by editing via different sites.
Any suggestions? If we wanted to implement something like this, where would
we start?
Thanks.

Hello there,
> It seems i don't have a common.css
Then create one :-) Create a page, named: MediaWiki:Common.css and add all
css-code related to the classes wikitable (.wikitable) and float-right
(.float-right). Don't forget to clear your cache.

Hello!
For testing purposes I have inserted the following code into the wiki
but the table has no border and no background-color and is placed
on the left side.
Pin !! Funktion
1
Masse
2
A+ (Senderichtung)
3
A− (Senderichtung)
4
Masse
5
B− (Empfangsrichtung)
6
B+ (Empfangsrichtung)
7
Masse
-
Verdrehsicherung
colspan="2" align="center"|150px|Innerer Aufbau eines SATA-Datenkabels
colspan="2"|<small>Innerer Aufbau eines SATA-Datenkabels</small>
I have this code from http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_ATA and there it is displayed
nice and on the right side. Please, what am I missing with class="wikitable float-right"?

Hi there,
You can do that with interwikilinks. When you have some parserfunctions
installed, you can make a template like this. It automatically adds a
interwiki when translation exists...

Make interwikilinks like this. Extension below could be helpful when making
interwikithing:
fr www.yoursite.com/wiki/$1/fr
es www.yoursite.com/wiki/$1/es
(where www.yoursite.com/wiki/ contains the articles)
This could be helpful:

And parserfunctions:

We're using MediaWiki to host a user manual which is being translated
into six languages. Like mediawiki.org, if the main article is "Foo",
the translated articles are "Foo/es", "Foo/fr", etc.
To help translators, I want to put links to translations of the current
article in the sidebar (whether the translations exist yet or not)

Hi David,
What do you mean? I don't think you mean this, but I will include the link
anyway: http://www.w3schools.com/Css/pr_pos_vertical-align.asp
Flipping images isn't achievable with html-code. You have to flip the image
yourself. I think you mean flipping the text: TEST
to
T
E
S
T
The text above can be achieved with <br/>-tags behind every character.
Flipping each character 90° isn't possible with html and can only be
achieved with picture(s).
Perhaps there are extensions that can make you a picture of text between
tags or something.
