After banging my head on a wall for quite a while, I realize I may have
made a very silly misinterpretation regarding the functionality provided
by Ryan Lane's LDAPAuthentication (and LDAPAutoAuthentication) extension.
Here is my scenario
MW 1.13.1 on IIS 6.0 (Win2K3)
IIS has IWA configured for IE and it works without flaw. (No anonymous
auth on IIS, all visitors are logged-in domain members using IE with the
wiki's NetBIOS name in the "Intranet Zone")
I have LDAPAuthentication working /almost/ perfectly (with the exception
of two out of four preferences which do not get set..but thats a thread
for tomorrow)
Can I not use the extension(s) to automatically log the user into the
wiki without a Smartcard? Or am I forced to buy a commercial extension
like the solution from IOPLEX?
Thanks, folks, this is driving me nuts...
John
Thanks,
that solved the Problem.
Nevertheless, in the user options mediawiki says "Server time" 10:51,
Local Time: 12:51, difference: 2". It would be great if there was a note
telling the user that "server time" is meant as UTC without any Timezone
information.

Heiner
Hi List,
i don't like pushing own questions back on top. But after waiting about
one week with no single reaction from the list and my boss getting
impatient, i see no other solution.
Could someone _please_ help me?

Hi all again!
I'm still trying to solve the pwauth authentication issues.
My question now is NOT pwauth specific (as it seems to work).
- Is there any 1.14 installation with configured and working AuthPlugin interface?
Any authentication method is ok. I'd like to investigate the code and find out what the problem could be in my case.
I also found the AuthPluginUser class in the include file which is not really documented and I'm afraid this could be a source of my problems, as pwauth plugin doesn't deal with it, meanwhile AuthPluginUser explicitly asks the developer to override certain methods.
thanks
Robert
Hi, I got my webhost to restore my database for me but apparently, my
website <http://dummipedia.org/Free_Simplified_Online_Encyclopedia> turns
out the following database error:
A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the
software. The last attempted database query was:
(SQL query hidden)
from within function "LocalFile::loadFromDB". MySQL returned error "1054:
Unknown column 'img_sha1' in 'field list' (localhost)".
Do you think I should consult Bugzilla?

Hello,
when I click around in the extension section a lot of extensions use
for e.g. addOnloadHook.
But I can search on mediawiki.org, wikimedia.org and wikipedia.org, I
can't find any kind of documents on this websites, except for some
comments on the discus pages.
Every user copy and paste the exetension in his own wiki, without the
question "WHY?". I think functions like this should somewhere, at a
"central place" documented.
Peter
P.S.: Maybe I need new eyeclasses, but sorry, I can't find anything
about addOnloadHook. And this is only an example, I think there are
more JS things like this.
We need to adapt FlaggedRevs to our custom skin. While the default settings
are (mostly) right for our needs, the default location of the review tags (div
with id 'mw-revisiontag', iir) is wrong, but I couldn't figure out how to move it
to the correct place -- the right column with id 'infobar' as you can see here:
http://www.wikilengua.org/index.php/Menos. Perhaps I could move it
using JS, but this would be far from satisfactory.
Any pointer or example would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Javier
