I think the "sleeper" is Apple Teams. It is quite nice for a 1.0
release. I can't see an office switching to Apple computers just to
get it, but I'd expect any office that already uses Apple hardware
would look long and hard at using the Apple wiki, as well.

world are a very long ways indeed from the ones we claim to embrace.

Is there anywhere a concentrated info about (in)compatibility of extensions with the newest or even the upcoming MW versions or vice versa?
It is very annoying to test by ourselves the growing set of extensions befory every upgrade :-(

In an extension, I'm using Brion's method to add a category to a page
automatically:
$cat = Title::makeTitle(NS_CATEGORY, "My category");
$wgParser->mOutput->addCategory($cat->getDBkey(),
$wgParser->mTitle->getPrefixedText() );
This always prepends the category so it appears first on the page. Is
there a way to make it appear last instead?
I tried setting the second parameter ("sort") parameter to something
like "zzzzz", but looking at the rendering in OutputPage->
addCategoryLinks(), this parameter appears to be unused.
Thanks for any help.

Hi
I would like to create a template which adds automatically a link from a
subpage (e.g. Article/Subpage) to his parent page (Article). Doesn't
there exist a corresponding variable for that? See
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Variables
Any other suggestions how to solve that problem?
Thanks

Hello all,
Is there a way to embed a template parameter within a PRE block?
For example, I need a "File" template that is to be used like this:
{{File|file name|file contents}}
The template source might look like this:
'''{{{1|sample file}}}'''
<pre>{{{2|sample contents}}}</pre>
Unfortunately, the second parameter is never resolved, i.e. it shows up
as literal "{{{2|sample contents}}}".
I understand that's because PRE sections are not wikified.
However, the file contents need to be contained within a PRE (or NOWIKI)
block to prevent them from being wikified (e.g. "# comment" would be
transformed into a numbered list otherwise).
Do I have to rely on users wrapping the file contents into PRE tags?

Hi,
I am having a problem with images not appearing after we’ve uploaded them. The mime type seems to be correct, and if you follow the direct link it will show the image, so the upload works, but the image doesn’t appear both on pages and on the image page.
Link: http://www.timespin.net/spillmodding/wiki/Bilde:Testing.jpg
Testing.jpg (filstørrelse: 316 KB, MIME-type: image/jpeg) – File size and type is correct, and if I follow the testing.jpg link, I can see the image, but that is the only place I can see it.
Has anybody used Microsoft SQL instead of my SQL to setup a wiki?

Hei,
I'm wondering when Version 1.12 will be offically out? I've to build up a new
week soon, and would like to use the neweset Version.
Version 1.11.0 was announced on 2007-09-10, so I think Version 1.12 will be
out soon. Can anyone tell me when?

After upgrading from 1.10 to 1.11 on certain of my pages I now get the
following error. The wiki image loads and nothing else.
I have worked out that on some of the pages there is a problem with the DPL
extension because when I turn this off the pages load. It is not all calls
to DPL but only some however and I can't see the pattern.
There are some pages, however, that refuse to load with this extension
turned off or on.
Unfortunately I'm on a shared host and don't have command line access. I've
tried to get phpshell working but that too will not work. Is there any
maintenance I can do on the database without shell?
Any help really appreciated (and I think I've realised that when I take this
site live it will be from a either a dedicated or virtual host that gives
shell access).
Database error A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate
a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:
(SQL query hidden)
from within function "LocalFile::loadFromDB". MySQL returned error "1054:
Unknown column 'img_sha1' in 'field list' (localhost)".

Is it worth generating something ilke this (a negative variant of
Monobook) for the standard MediaWiki tarball?
