Is there a quick and easy way to automagically re-size uploaded
images so they fit within some maximum size? If so, a quick "RTFM"
pointer is all I need.
I have a bunch of folks with 8 megapixel cameras who want to upload
images. They aren't sophisticated enough to re-size their images.
They're used to flikr.com (et. al.) websites that simply deal with it.
I can accept the one-time hit of the initial upload, but don't want
to have to re-size it every time a thumb is generated, or pump the
whole thing over every time someone clicks on a thumb.
I have ImageMagik installed and working.
Thanks for any thoughts or ideas!

Dear all,
I'm newbie using wiki, I have installed wiki successfully and modify the
default page like main page, community page, but how I can create new page
for my new content ? FYI I'm only install wiki by default mode, do I need
another extension or some modules to create new page ? I'm totally stuck :(
Thank you for your attention,
best regards,
Andry Yudianto
I forgot my mysql root password on a system I am working on.
I reset it without any trouble, but now the wiki won't work because it
does not know the new password.
I have googled around to no avail so could someone please tell me how to
reset the password inside the wiki so that it works again.

Hi,
I've tried looking on the mediawiki website for this, but I can't find
any information. How do I set up my wiki for multiple languages? If it
requires no setup, then how do I add different languages to an article?
Should I be using the 1.8 code in SVN, or does 1.7 support this as well?
Thanks,
Mark Saward
Editing the Image template/Parser.php to include an
optional "Nolink" tag is a big task. I dont know how
to make the edits of that scale in the code.
I really wish this was an option. Sometimes we want to
put an image in the page (while using the
code) but we dont want the image to link to anything.
It seems like the "Click Template" actually adds a
link on the image, is that right? I want to remove all
the links to the image.
I cant use the "nowiki" code eithers, thats not what I
want.
What I want simple is that the following:

would produce an image that cant be clicked with the
mouse. Its just like a regular common image on the
web.
It looks like this is going to require extensive
editing on Parser.php so "NoLink" can be parsed just
like "left" or "thumb".
thanks

Is there a way to disable the link to an image? When I
write on certain pages, I dont
want the user to have his mouse change its hover icon
and have a link to the image. This is not needed for
the user in this certain case case.
Is there a way I can use a "nolink" tag and disable
the link? e.g.:
