Jimbo,

If someone like Caroline (SecretLondon) has gone to the effort of
securing permission for images, can't we honor that work and still use
those images?

Sure, we want everything to be "free", but in our relations with the
commercial world I would hope we would be able to borrow anything their
willing to loan us.
