However, I could not find any support for my case: I am on a Windows-based
hosting environment, so .htaccess doesn't work.
I think windows couldn't be that bad, it might have some thing to make my
URL friendlier, like:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page, or
http://libertarianwiki.org/User_talk:Pstudier#URL_cleanup.
Any help would be much appreciated.
