Rob,
Thanks again for your answer.
On
Wikipedia.org, it uses the following three
templates to render a portal.
It opens the box in the first template and then tries
to enclose the second (content) template inside the
box, finally tries to close this box by the third
template.
1.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikiportal/box-header
2.{content template}
3.

thanks again

1. Wikimedia's wiki farm uses 1.6-dev.
2. Where on that wiki is the trick being used
successfully?

Hi,
I am running MW 1.5.3 on Fedora 4.
I try to use two templates. In the first templates,
I
opened a block with
<div style="display:block; border:1px solid
{{{border}}}; vertical-align:top;
background-color:{{{background}}};
color:{{{foreground}}}; margin-bottom:10px; padding:
1em; margin-top: 0em; padding-top:.3em; ">
But I donot close this block in the first template.
Then in the second template I tried to close the
block
opened in the first template with </div>
But the MW 1.5.3 I am using would not allow me to
close the block. The block got closed prematurely in
the first template.
However the
wikipedia.org can do the feature
described
above.
Any suggestion on the fix.
Thanks
jc
