Hello friends! Above are links to virtual Winedale scene I put together in
the last few days (screenshot
here<https://winedale.s3.amazonaws.com/Winedale_scrape0.1.jpg>).
Download the appropriate package, unzip, and enjoy! Note the quality and
resolution dialog when you launch it; if you're in doubt as to the strength
of your machine, try lower resolution and quality settings. I haven't
spent much time optimizing this, but I'm releasing early, and hopefully
often. I built it with a prerelease beta of Unity3, so there might be some
bugs, YMMV. Only the barn is textured now, the other buildings are
placeholders.
My idea is to make this like a memory palace, where alumni and well-wishers
can chat and tag locations with comments, stories, pictures, etc... Many of
my most treasured memories are geolocated, as we say, at this place, and I
know I'm not alone in that. I also hope this can benefit the endowment
somehow.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone on August 14th!

Hello fellow alumni,
I need to give you some information about tickets for the reunion
performance August 14.
As of now, with the number of people who have already purchased
tickets online, as well as those who made reservations personally with
Doc, we are sold out of tickets for this performance.
If you have already bought tickets online or made reservations with
Doc, we are holding those seats for you. If you made the reservation
with Doc, you can pay for the tickets at the door by check or cash on
the day of the performance.
In cases where someone both purchased tickets online AND made
reservations with Doc, Liz Fisher will contact you via email to make
sure we have the right number of tickets and that there are no
duplications.
Otherwise, you can consider the seats you have reserved to be secure,
but for the time being we can't sell any more because of the limited
capacity of the barn. If more tickets become available I will
announce it on this list.
Thanks for your patience--this is a very special event and we want to
be sure that we can accommodate all of the alumni who wish to attend.

This message is for those who have sent me reservations for the
Reunion Brunch and the day-ending BBQ "Banquet." It applies to all
former students attending and performing at the Reunion. To everyone.
Tickets for the Reunion Brunch (10:30-1:30) are $13.00 per person.
Tickets for the BBQ (6:00 cocktails, 7:00 Banquet) are $12.00 per
person. $25.00 for both. You may pay for the number of reservations
you have sent to me either in advance by mail or at the Reunion in
person. Should you choose the first option, please send me your check
for the appropriate amount at P.O. Box 202, Round Top, TX, 78954.
Please make the check "TO" The University of Texas" and mark if "FOR"
Reunion '10.
I would like to have as many of these as soon as possible, if that is
convenient with you, since I have to make deposits with the
caterers. And I need to know, of course, of any adjustment in the
number of reservations you have sent me.
The settings for both brunch and BBQ will be under the pecan trees
next to the Theater Barn. Former students of both Shakespeare at
Winedale and Camp Shakespeare will be performing during both feasts in
the circle described by the tables, "in the round" one might say.
There will be music, song and scenes from the plays.
There will be a per-person charge of $5.00 for those attending solely
for the entertainment. And as well an opportunity for anyone to drop
into the kitty something for beer and wine.
I look forward to seeing you at Winedale on the 14th!

anything from Adrienne Evans (1989), or Abbie ??? (1988-89)?

What a great collection of pictures! I can give a little info about the ones from 1979 (31 years ago, oh my):
Picture 1 "arms akimbo" is Claudio spurning Hero at the altar from Much Ado. From L to R: Mike Godwin as the Friar, Teresa Jaynes as Hero, Aubrey Carter as Don John, Carl Nordstrom (in overalls) as Claudio with Bruce Wharton as Benedict directly above, Jeff Ellinger as Don Pedro, and Richard South as Leonato.
Picture 4 "dinner and girl looking" is Robin Mize looking at the camera, Jeanne Frontain standing at the far end of the table next to Bruce Wharton on left and Richard South on right.
Picture 5 "girls on porch" is L to R Teresa Jaynes, Julie Ward, Barb Montgomery, Jeanne McCarthy, and Britt Block.
Picture 7 "love scene" is Bruce Wharton and Robin Mize (I'm pretty sure this is as B&B from Much Ado)
Picture 9 "porch hefty bag" is Teresa Jaynes with said hefty bag.
Picture 11 and 12 "sewing room" is Maria Black in sunglasses, Teresa Jaynes pointing, with Bruce Meyer on side behind (possibly) Aubry Carter.

If there is any possible upside to having your a/c replaced during July, in Texas, it is that it forced me into the Hades of my attic to clear out the boxes that had been up there 10+ years. I found this group of photos from 1977 including some great ones of Steve as well as my favorite one of those masterful vaudevillians, Mary and Christine. Give those girls a hat and a cane and watch what happens. Fosse,Fosse,Fosse! This is the link to the album.

I also found a copy of Texas Highways from 1978 with pictures of the class of 1977's performance of CE, and for an special added bonus a photo of Doc on the cover of Texas Monthly 1976. Though the photo is not in great shape, it is still amusing. I think Alice may have had something to do with this. Here's the link to those items.

This note is for those who are attending the Reunion Performance.
While I have been asking for the number of seats you need for the
performance, you do need to go on-line at the shakespeare-winedale.org
website to register that number and pay for them. Some of you have
done that already. But from the information you have given me, some
108 seats have yet to be registered and paid for. This request comes
from the Shakespeare at Winedale coordinator. I thought the old
system worked pretty well myself, but she wants to control everything
from Austin. So please get on-line and make your reservations for the
number of seats you have sent me.
Please note that I am handling reservations for the brunch and the BBQ
banquet. I will be sending you a payment request for those next
week. The caterers want down payments. Do not know the total right
now.
