So who is the one I need to talk to for the Italian admin and if
there isn't one what to do to become one - as things need to be
adjusted now and not somewhere in the future. Imagine a person
uploading 1500 terms including images ... sigh ... and then having
to adapt hundreds/thousands of terms to upper/lowercase ... no, this
must be done now.
What you need to do to become an admin is to start an election. If
there is enough people who agree you would make a good admin, you can
ask André Engels to make you one. It wouldn't be a bad idea to
nominate several of the more active people and have something like
three or five people administering a Wiktionary. If you manage to
determine a good person to take on the task of burocrat during the
same elections, then you don't have to bother Andre any more afterwards.
Hi Jo,
this means I should try to contact the people contributing to the
Italian wiktionary and maybe also ask who of them would also like to
take over an admin job. Where does this election then take place? On
the wiktionary itself? Maybe on the admin page? Is there any example
around? How can I determine who are the people who contributed most to
the wiktionary - is there some kind of list? Sorry for so many questions.
