Testing the 1.4 CVS version (new installations and update installations)
I found that the Interface Language in User Preferences was set
(defaulted) to Africaans.
In my humble opinion, even when I understand this language a little bit,
fresh MediaWiki installations should come with a "(uninstalled yet -
please choose)" default interface language, proposed: English .
