It still leaves the problem, as someone already
mentioned, of people who
want a localised user name. For example "Boris the Inquisitive Goat"
might want to be known as "Boris la Chèvre Investigatrice" on the French
Wikipedia.

We might have a wikimedia domain login, with it's single userID, have mapped
nicknames based on each domain, but the actual login name would be the same.
We culd have a nickname table that mapped nicknames to a userid based on a
domain. Basically an alias system....
