Hi, folks. Thanks much for the offers of help. I hadn't yet subscribed
here when this thread began, so please forgive me if I am being
redundant of have neglected any questions.
What I'm trying to figure out at the moment, if you have any
suggestions, is the nicest URL scheme for the new pages that are going
to be implemented.
In LQT, there is a many-to-many relationship between articles and talk
pages (which we call 'channels'). When you click 'discuss' for an
article, you'll be taken to the article's primary, default channel,
but at the top of the page, there will be a list of other channels
that are attached to the article. So, the URL for a given talk page
must include both the article and the specific channel being viewed.
And I guess we'll have to hack in a Channels: namespace, since
channels are not ordinary pages, and since putting it in the Special:
namespace would be pretty ugly. Any ideas?
If you want to check out what I'm doing, I'm working in
/branches/liquidthreads. At present, though, I haven't committed
anything. I have a test wiki here at
http://dmccabe.org:8000/wiki/.
Please don't hit it too hard.
Thanks!
