Hi wikispore-ites,
I'm looking forward to seeing how wikispore gets going.
In preparation for a possible sister project, the WikiJournal User Group
<https://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/WikiJournal_User_Group> has been running a
small test wiki at the arbitrary url of wikipediajournal.com.
Would it be more sensible to migrate that over to a wikispore server? What
would the benefits and limitations be?
All the best,
Thomas
I'd like to share this current events page for the Event Spore, covering
Word AIDS Day, which is on Sunday December 1:
https://wikispore.wmflabs.org/wiki/Event:World_AIDS_Day_2019
Would like to encourage anyone interested to edit and expand this page
before Sunday, when we will promote it a bit, and to make it more complete
and have better coverage outside the US.
(You have to register a new account on Wikispore, you can just use you
Wikimedia username, but for security reasons use a different password. We
will merge the accounts later.)
Once you have a Wikispore account, I also invite you to sign our Guestbook:
https://wikispore.wmflabs.org/wiki/Guestbook
Thanks,
Richard

Hi Wikisporians,
I wanted to share a collaboration this week, covering the 101st anniversary
of Armistice Day (also known as Remembrance Day or Veterans Day) around the
world:
https://wikispore.wmflabs.org/wiki/Event:Armistice_Day_2019
You are very welcome to add anything about observances in different places,
non-profit activity, protests, recent historical perspectives etc.
The idea is an international observance like this is a good topic to start
with because we know a bunch of the details ahead of time already.
And check out this section, attempting to give Signpost-like coverage to
this topic too:
https://wikispore.wmflabs.org/wiki/Event:Armistice_Day_2019#Wiki_Meta-Comme…
This is part of the Event Spore:
https://wikispore.wmflabs.org/wiki/Event_Spore
And I of course creating a corresponding Wikidata item too:
https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q72736224
We don't have OAuth activated yet on Wikispore, so just register a new
account and don't use your regular password.
Thanks,
Richard
