This is the correct approach. We pretty much stomp all over folks who even
try to put stuff like this in Wikipedia articles. We are probably in
conformity with French law now and if not (perhaps missed something) could
and should be.

Not much, I guess, except if Wikipedia becomes a den of negationists
(revisionist seems to be the only translation but I don't like it as any
historian is "revising" History), suicide apologists, or paedophiles.
