Thanks for bringing this to light Mike.
These people call themselves investigative journalists?
Well the investigative journalist in me suspects that they might have
secretly tried to create a Wikipedia entry about the website or its
founders and were tagged for speedy deletion because it contravened the 5
pillars of Wikipedia then they got angry and started attacking Wales and
Maher to draw attention of the mainstream media. That's just my hunch but
there are many possibilities because clearly they don't know how Wikipedia
works.

Oof, that's a very opinionated website complaining vigorously that
they're neutral and accurate. Check out their coverage on Wales and
Maher:
https://thegrayzone.com/2020/06/11/meet-wikipedias-ayn-rand-loving-founder-…
They for example say:
Maher moved on to a job at London’s HSBC bank –
which would go on to pay
a whopping $1.9 billion fine after it was caught
red-handed laundering
money for drug traffickers and Saudi financiers of international jihadism.
Her work at HSBC brought her to the UK, Germany, and Canada.
Really? How is it relevant that the company that she worked for paid
money-laundering fines, unless she was involved? I can see why they're
not considered a reliable source. Also, he keeps saying that they
haven't been forced to retract anything. That just means they don't do
retractions, not that everything they print is correct.
Thanks for sharing this!

Dear ZA-Wikimedians,
Since some of us are sure to be confronted by this type of thing out in

display the stance that I have publicly adopted:
