Yes, because this is a public announcement, for all the world to see,
that we don't have much to announce yet ;-)

I was just looking at the Wikimania 2006 articles, and was reminded
about the prospect that "Wikimedia UK" would be the organizing body
for a future conference. It would be nice to host the conference in
2007 in the UK!

Hi James, hi all
These (attached) seem ok to me. Since there are no ties to the
Foundation in any form, I believe that my or the board's *formal*
approval is not needed at this stage. This said, the MoA and the AoA fit
perfectly with the Foundation's goals and mission, so you have my
"benediction" ;-).
Just a remark
in MoA:
See:5
(d) No Director may:
i. buy and goods or services from the Company;
one "and" too many? Or is it my English?
Happy incorporation :-)
Cheers,
Delphine

Absolutely - I was just thinking about this recently. It's a nice
aspiration - especially since a large part of what we're doing is
building a strong and well-organised network of people around the UK.
Feel free to add new info or ideas to Meta - the old bid brainstorm is
