As you might be aware, we were thinking of going for an additional GA of
the month on account of August 15, The Independence Day.
Accordingly, voting took place on the nominations

the WikiProject and the article chosen for collaboration is
*Indian Independence
Day<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Independence_Day>
*. The *goal* is to make it a good article on/before 15th August.
Voting had to be closed early as we cannot wait long. We are already 5 days
short in this case. I hope all of you would join this collaboration and
contribute your bit to something which will be definitely viewed a lot in
mid August.
